Our Pumpkin...

We picked our pumpkin today....We lost the bet to see who could grow the biggest pumpkin, but thats okay because we love our pumpkin anyway.
We brought it inside to draw it. We looked at the lines, the color, the dirt, the leaves, the vine, the worms that were in the dirt that was on the pumpkin...(the best part)
And then we drew....

First we drew it with a pencil.....then we went over it with a black crayon...then we watercolored it. BEAUTIFUL!

spiders....

Just a couple of the spidery things.....a spider bean bag toss...potterybarn kids.... Making spiders and webs with small chains on a magnet background....

Balls....

I picked up some new balls while at my conference. These blue ones have glitter inside....they are like big huge super balls.... And these ones are big excercise balls.....Connor knew what to do right away!

pumpkin patch...

Our trip to the pumkin patch was soooo fun! We went somewhere different this year. Usually we go to Wells Nursury....last year was kind of a bummer, so this year we went to Jubilee. I have been coming here for about 6 years now with my family. However....I did not realize you needed to make a reservation during the week. Luckily we talked to the owner....Farmer Eric...and bless his heart, he had some extra time and gave us our own little private tour. He needed to give the cows some water, so he took us out to the cow pasture on his tractor! SO FUN!! A baby calf had just been born the night before! Then he took us over to the pumpkin patch which was right next to the corn field and he gave us some corn to eat right off the stalk! Yummmm! Then we picked out our pumpkins and he drove us back. It was great. We love you Farmer Eric! Thank you so much!

Ooooh, theres me. You don't see many pictures of me cause I am always taking them. Dacia is crouching down....Thank you Dacia for coming and helping out!!!

This was funny....4 cows starin at 4 kids....I wonder what the cows were thinking....

This calf was about a week old....

Farmer Eric drivin....

These piggies were super stinky....cute....and snorty.....

Pumpkins.....

Make a Jack-o-lantern....There are pumpkin cut outs on the table and the kids can try to make faces out of playdough to add to the pumpkins. Then they have a Jack-o-lantern.Sponge painting Jack-o-lanterns.....Here we dipped our knuckles into the paint....made the print on the paper...then added green for a stem....to make a pumpkin patch!

The number 4....

At the easle....

Olivia is patterning. This is called an A,B, pattern. Big pumpkin, Little pumpkin...I ask her what comes next and she always knows. She is ready for an A,B,B, pattern.

Apples....

We took a field trip to the store this morning to get apples. Your children are very good walkers!...and were very good at the store. We got 6 different kinds. They each had their own bag to carry home. At snack time we had a taste test to see which ones were the best.

Bye Bye Butterfly tree

Brayden came to visit today! We have missed you Bray Bray....glad to have you...anytime!
We decided to take down the Butterfly tree today. It was getting old and didn't produce very many flowers this year. We will get a new Butterfly tree in the spring and plant it somewhere else...but for now we need to make room for the sandbox since we took 1/2 the sandbox away for the playchips. The kids worked haaaard pulling the large tree branches from one end of the grass to the other. They worked together to move the extra large branches.
